There are no set rules on who and what you can and cannot play here at Hometree. We do our best not to limit anyone, beyond what limitations *must* be made so that everyone is playing by the same rules. I'm not going to set up IC ranks based on trainee, adept, elite, etc, I don't want to go down that road with the scientists.
What I do want to see is folks playing their characters based on merit. Mostly, we have new avatar drivers coming in (you trainees!), first time on Pandora. That doesn't mean someone who is just starting can't place an avatar driver who has been here some time. After all, we have all sorts of gaps in the department.
I don't want to have to worry about someone saying "So and so is playing X. I want to play X." There is room for half a dozen linguists, geneticists, xeno-biologists, what have you.
